For 25 years Nickelodeon has produced some of the most innovative and memorable animation in the history of television. Nick Animation Podcast host Hector Navarro finds out how and why four of the network’s most influential creators did what they did: Craig Bartlett (Hey Arnold!), Jhonen Vasquez (Invader Zim), Butch Hartman (The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom) and Arlene Klasky, who along with Gabor Csupo and Paul Germain, created Rugrats. Don’t miss the chance to see production art from the upcoming TV movie Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie; animation from Hartman’s new Bunsen is a Beast!; and the world premiere of Don vs Raph, a TMNT animated short written and produced by Jhonen Vasquez.

Featuring Jhonen Vasquez (series creator, control brain), Aaron Alexovich (character designer, artist), Dave Crosland (comic artist), and Megan Lawton (inker) all telling horrible, horrible secrets about the comic book series.

The Collected Works of Fillerbunny out this week!
The signs all point to one thing – A new dose of Fillerbunny in stores is nigh, this week as a matter of fact, tomorrow even! This is the book nobody’s been waiting for, but everyone should own! Love Fillerbunny? You need this book! Hate Fillerbunny and everything else my name is attached to? You need this book so you can fuel your insane rants to nobody who wants to listen!
In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t been watching all the trailers in theaters and reading all the informative flyers taped to bricks being thrown through your windows while you sleep, this book collects every issue of Fillerbunny ever made, including a brand new issue 4 that’s not even in stores yet! That’s right, this book collects THE FUTURE. Issue 4 is really sad, guys. Maybe you shouldn’t get this book.
Aw, I’m just kidding with you. You HAVE to buy this book. if you don’t, everything i’ve worked for will be for nothing and I’ll just hate myself for even trying. Why would you do that to me? Seriously, what’s up?
There’s quite a bit of new material in here, not even counting the whole new issue, so here’s just a list of the guests that did pages: Bryan Konietzko, Edmund McMillen, J.R. Goldberg, Tyler Hutchison, Frank and Becky, Pendleton Ward, Alex Pardee and Aaron Alexovich. One of them did a drawing that actually upsets me.
So yeah, go to your local comics purchasing establishment tomorrow, demand the book. I’d be pretty happy if you were all responsible for why they sell out of copies in a single day. No pressure, but if that doesn’t happen, I’m probably gonna just kill myself, man. I’ll do it. I won’t actually do it but I’ll talk about it all day.
SD COMICON 2014: THE POSTENING
Hello again, and welcome to this year’s edition of me talking about going to the San Diego Comicon again until I die!
I’ll make this a short one, so pay attention, yeah? Here’s the pertinent info for you.
WHERE:
The SLG Comics booth (#1815) at the San Diego Comicon in the giant disease dome the CDC built for their annual experiment in crippling contagion!
WHEN:
July 25-27. My signing times are generally 1-2:30PM and then again from 5:30-7:00PM for each day except Sunday where the second signing of that day starts at 4:00 and goes tip 5PM. Thursday is up in the air but if that changes I’ll let you know.
WHAT:
I’m signing copies of the new Fillerbunny trade paperback full of all sorts of new crap including a whole new issue of Fillerbunny! Fillerbunny 4 comes out in a collection before it even exists as an individual issue! Crazy, I know.
I’ll also have a bunch of prints for signing so that I can occasionally afford to escape and gnaw on a sandwich in an alley somewhere like Gollum only with sandwiches.
WHY:
I don’t know. Oh my god I don’t know. I’m going solo to this one because all my other friends are smart enough to avoid con now and oh god…oh my god…
